The members meet once a day, either first, second or third period in room 255. The members are allowed to leave campus at noon to go to their various jobs, utilizing the principles learned in the classroom. Members of DECA competed in two mini-contest the first, December 6, at Cy-Fair High School and the second Ianuary 10, at Nimitz High School. Club members also attended area competition, March 16-17, state competition, in San Antonio April 11 and 12, and national competition, in Kansas City May 14-19. Susanna Dussling, pictured above, was the national winner at the KC competition in apparel and acces- sories. One highlight of the year was the videotaping and subsequent broad- casting on cable Channel 10 of some of their activities. I thought the year went extremely well. Hopefully, next year will go just as good, commented club sponsor Ioe Georgiana. 224 ORGANIZATIONS
