As defined, a pinnacle is the highest point. This year's newspaper staff attempted to reach the highest point ever. Reporting all activities and attempting to chroniclelize events is the main purpose of the PINNACLE staff. This is also, maybe the one and only place that these events are recorded, advisor David Woods reminded. Nine issues were published this year on a monthly bases. Students were able to express Christmas wishes through messages published in the December issue. At the end of the year senior wills were printed, allowing seniors to leave memories and momentoes to underclassmen. At the UIL District meet in March, editor Patricia Mazon, features editor julie Trexler, and contributing reporter Karla Price won district events and advanced to regional competition in Mesquite. M International Club members have initiated at Klein Forest quite a tradition of understanding. This new club was formed with this purpose in mind by Khanh Nguyen. The members seek to promote better understanding between foreign and native students and to provide a social atmosphere where foreign students can get to know each other. To achieve their stated purpose the club members participated in many activities throughout the year. Through a volleyball game with the French club the international students displayed their game skills. A further purpose of the club, to make the student body aware of the number of international countries and students represented at KF, was achieved through many events during the year. A Chinese New Year banner displayed in the commons showing others the manner in which the New Year is celebrated in China. The international map in the library is another project the club members engineered. Each pinpointed his native home and wrote a traditional greeting in his native language to the school. The new club's success should provide momentum for next year to be even more exciting than this one. Each year the club exists there is a greater opportunity for understanding, Nguyen explained. They constantly strive for more pictures, copy and color. I don't think people realize how much time and hard work is put into publishing a yearbook, states organizations editor Karen Beck, but the end product is worth it, she concluded. Attending summer workshops and selling advertisements are two more responsibilities of staffers.
