1 if Defeating Klein was the most memorable game of the season, stated freshman Mike Losa. This year's junior varsity baseball team had a record of 7-13. However, Coach Randy Taylor stated that the team's record was not indicative of their performance. Most of the players agreed that Cy-Creek was the toughest opponent. Q3 VARSITY BASEBALL 'Better than their record 'Wm l on Even though our record wasn't that good, nobody gave up and we played together well as a team, said Greg Anderson, senior and the '84 varsity baseball team's MVP. The Eagles had a overall record of 8-17 with a 4-8 mark in district. Selections to the All-District teams were Anderson, an outfielder who flirted with a ,400 batting average nearly all season long, and junior Kevin Leyendecker at second base on the first team. Iunior outfielder Allen Wendler was a second team selection while sophomores Bill Loza, third baseman, and Steve Tamez, outfielder, were chosen as honorable mention. This season's team was again coached by Robert Ray and Doug Henning. Q15 Varsity baseball team members are, bottom row, Ron Pruzinsky, Oscar Laud, Stephen Pick, Derek DeSola, Steve Tamez, Kevin Leyendecker, Keith Durnell, Greg Anderson and Sam Montalbano.
