He was assigned to USS KEPPLER IDDE-7c5I homeported in Newport, Rhode Island, and saw duty patrolling the Formosa Straits during the Korean IN'ar. He has also served on USS THOMAS J. GARY KDER-3261 from 1958 to 1962. Two destroyer tenders followed, USS ARCADIA QAD-161 and USS YOSEM- ITE KAD-150D from 1963 to 1964. He served aboard USS ANNAPOLIS QAGMR-15 from 1968 i6 1969, USS TI- CONDEROGA tCVA-149 fr6m 1969 t6 1971, USS CAYUGA fLST-1186Oj from 1971 to 1973 and USS MONTICELLO QLSD-353 in 1976. His shore duty included a tour as Mas- ter Chief of the Pacific Fleet in 1979, Force Master Chief, Naval Surface Forces, Pacific in 1977, company com- mander and swim instructor at Creat Lakes Naval Training Center from 1964 to 1968, Counter In-,urgency and Viet- namese Language School at Naval Am- phibious Base Coronado, the Naval In- shorefUndersea Wtirftire Clroup, and Armed Forces Courier Service. Prior to reporting to USS KITTY HAWK as Command Master Chief, Master Chief Holloway filled the same position for VF-124 at NAS Miramar. The Master Chief has been awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medalg Combat Action Ribbong Meritorious Unit Commenda tion Ribbon, eight Ciood Conduct IV1t'tl' als, Navy Occupation Service Medal, Ko- rean Service Medal: Aimed Forces tlxpes ditionary Metitllg Vietnam Service bfiedal.
