Yes, Steinie as she is affec- tionately called, does indeed deserve more rec- ognition — the first Pioneer had a sale of one hundred and twenty-five copies; this year the Pioneer will be distributed to more than twelve hundred students. These figures indicate great growth, mainly a result of Mrs. Steinkamp ' s in- spiring leadership. Steinie has done more than lead the growth of the Pioneer; she has helped every individual on every staff become not only a better and more productive staff member, but also a better person. Everyone who has ever come in contact with Steinie will long remem- ber being called a doll or you sweet thing, and sometimes receiving the highest praise - that ' s just ultra, ultra! Mrs. Steinkamp is indeed a pioneer. We, of the Pioneer staff of 1960, join with all the staffs of past years in proudly dedicating the Pioneer of 1960 to Mrs. Steinkamp, with the hope that it will measure up to the standard of excellence in I right or am I wrcng?
