PHYSICAL EDUCATION DRIVER ' S EDUCATION Strengthening our physical bodies while increasing our sportmanship, agil- ity, and enjoyment of sports is the re- sponsibility of the physical education department. Stimulating class activities and extra-curricular sports make P.E. a favorite activity of all those who partic- ipate in its program. Teaching safe driving skills is the responsibility of the Driver ' s Education Course. A program combining actual driving and class sessions produces many fine student drivers. FINE ARTS Appreciation of the fine arts is important in modern living. Americans have been accused of being over- ly materialistic, and of not enjoying the cultural as- pects of life. The emphasis on academics is partly responsible for this situation; therefore, a knowledge of music and art will produce a well-balanced indi- vidual.
