V-1 STUDENT COUNCIL SEATED QL to R Q Nancy Rlunehart Secretary John Simmons President Mr Clark Advisor STANDING Karen Chandler Sophomore representative Bruce Work, Junior representative, B111 Dutton Senior representatlve l'CSCI1t IIUVC The Student COl1l'lC1l has been busy this year of '59 Some delegates Iva Kay Jim Bruce, Karen and Nanc went to the election of new officers for the Pekln District which was held at the United Township High School 1n East Moline Bruce Work was nominee for vice president, and Jim Johnson served on the nominations comm1ttee We're glad everyone enjoyed the Homecoming activities such as the bonfire snake dance, parade pep rally game and dance with the music of Tiny Biggs orchestra These were all sponsored by the Counc1l Music for the Alumni Dance was provided by Don bossick and his orchestra and was thoroughly enjoyed by all those who attended the dance This has been a good rewarding year, and the Student Council wishes to thank Mr Clark, who has been our advisor, Mr Johnson and everyone else for their help and cooperation We are looking forward to 1960' RECIPIENTS OF D A R AWARD Cecilia Vaughon Fred Jenks Reciplents of the D A R.
