Don’t be too surprised if you s«m»u receive a rather expensive doctor's lull—Last week I tripped in a gopher hole on the hockev field and broke mv leg in several places. Speaking of hockey, our teams have had a very successful season—First Team won the plate for half a year, splitting it with Country Dav. while Second Team won the cup! And we have five girls—Jean llorrocks, Dorsev Win. Sallv I .owe, Marcia Greenshield. and Suky He id —on the All-Detroit Ilockcv I'irst ream, and one—Sheila Thorpe—on Second Team. The reason for all these accomplish- ments can be said in two words: Mrs. Mac! Well, must end this short epistle now. Love, Kitty March I k ‘52 Dear Mom, Just a quick note between classes to let you know what's going on here in the way of sports. In the first plan , the whole school is talking about the amazing feat executed by Jane Wert, a tins seventh grader. Sin how led two consecutive scores of 190 and 191! Upon hearing this. I gave up bowling and joined the modern dance class. I can now leap through the air as gracefullv as a—whoops! Ouch! There have been some exciting basketball games and badminton matches of late between the Green and White Teams, real battles to the last, yon can be sure, for everv point counts in the struggle for the banner. Well. Mom. you're probabh thinking vour daughter isn't getting any fresh air what with all these indoor sports: so I’ll dispel anv worries von mav have by telling von that I’ve been skating on the lake a lot. It will surely come in handy (no pun meant this spring, with the Michigan State Open and the F.llen Wallace Tournaments coining up. Here's an exciting piece of news—Almost tipped ewer canoeing . . . 1 was chasing the swans. Gosh, tennis and canoeing .1 hadn't realized that graduation was so near! I’rettv soon Kings wood Day will he here, and well find out the answers to all the questions we've been puzzling over all Near—who next vear's team captains will be. who will win the Citizenship-Sportsmanship Cups, who will he chosen the most all-around atllkte. and most important, which team will get the Banner.
