I Cot Sick! t first I wasn’t going to go to the infirmary, but when I found I could barely get out of bed. I realized my time had come. I didn’t take much of anything into the infirmary with me, just my roommate’s radio, six movie magazines, a copy of Seventeen, three love comics, mv lxw ks, pins good old Vanity Fair, and of course some minor necessities such as a tooth brush, a comb, etc. When I staggerer! into the infirmary. Mrs. Keon took one horrified look at my throat and put me and my equipment to bed. That ««•ally suited me fine, and just as I was thinking rather pleasant thoughts about infirmary life in general, 1 received a ghastly shock. They were planning to CURE me and that didn't mean letting me lie still either. First 1 was informed that my gargle’ was waiting (in which state I was inclined to let it remain), but I hated to be rude; so I fumbled mv wav out of bed and into the bath- room. There I was presented with mv “gargle. which I must say didn’t really seem to have much as gargles go (no bub- bles), but I gargled it anyway (I assume one does gargle gargles). After that was over, I decided it was time lor me to return to bed; so I thoughtfully pointed myself in the general direc- tion of what I hoped was bed. It wasn’t. In fact I found my- self seated on an antiseptic looking chair in the office (where I seemed to have drifted). I was presented with two pink - STATION K.S.C. After that heartless attack on mv very life I was more wary. When they gave me another pink pill, I didn’t swallow it; I just let it lie in my mouth. Only after it had dissolvet! did I discover I was supposed to suck it. That subterfuge really put me on mv guard.
