TO BE EXCUSED ORNOTTOBE... Attendance: The word describes it all. The job of these four people is to know the whereabouts of close to 2,000 people every day. They have to keep track of who was absent and who will be, who got in late, Who's skipping classes, and who gets ex- cused When. On top of that they must distinguish forged excuses from the real McCoy. It's c1 tough job, but somebody's gotta do it. Attendance Staff: L. Bertone, M. Espey, V. Loughlin, M. Ri- enzo. . . . 8t THEY'RE STILL NOT SICK OF THEIR IOBS! The Medical Office sees KHS stu- dents at their worst; complaints all day, kids trying to get out of classes, folks who really are sick, and, on top of it all, physicals for everyone in the whole school. Despite all this, they constantly maintain a professional yet caring attitude. Medical Office: H. Berrycmn, P. Brogan, R. Hoveman, M. Post.

HOUR POWER You're in English class. Suddenly, the phone rings. After a brief con- versation, your teacher turns around and meets you eye to eye: Mr. Bell's office. After class. The rest of the class yells snagged and you slink out of the room at the end of the period. They also organize our way through Kingston High, setting up schedules, getting us through SAT's, and, overall help- ing us plan the days of our lives. Guidance Department: R. Boening, I. Chupczy, A. BREAKING THE LANGUAGE BARRIER . . . Language barrier? For some people in this school, yes. Sure we've spoken English for the past ten years, but all that time, did we really understand it? Chances are, no. After four grueling years of English at KHS, students leave enlightened: they tshouldl understand the words they speak and the origins of many of them, they've been exposed to intense writings, and, best of all, can dissect a sentence into all of its parts. tMakes for good conversation later in life, eh?l English Department: A. Aidala, P. Betts, K. Boduch, I. Cava- no, S. Cohen, I. Happeny, L. Hilbert, L. Hohn, M. Leonard, F. Licopoli. E. Lis- tort, L. Lomita, P. Nichols, W. Scherer, W. Smurl, A. Stein, R. Thomas, B.
