Bennett has been the Guidance Director of our high school for a short period of time, however, the impressions made during it shall be lasting. In addition to his regular duties Mr. Bennett plays a vital role in the planning and execution of the annual career day. Xvhen he finds the time to relax, hir. Bennett enjoys collecting and listening to records of all varieties. Besides his love of music, lXIr. Adm in irtmtive Guide! BURTON W. HANKEY Principal 3Ir. Burton W. Hankey has been an integral part of Kingston High School as teacher and finally principal. As a native of Wyoming Yal- ley, he received his early education at the Wilkes-Barre, Kingston and Dorranceton Public Schools. His college years were spent at Pennsyl- vania State Ivniversity and, later, Columbia Ivniversity. Hr. Hankey's efforts in the educational field have been crowned with a success of the first magnitude. His achievements as Principal of Kingston High School and Co-ordinator of Curriculum and Instruc- tion for the Kingston School District willresult in his succession to the office of Superintendent of the Kingston Schools, the highest posi- tion which an educator can attain in this community. ANITA WILLIAMS . lssistanit Pri ncipal , A , if BIiss Anita Wvilliams is one of the most familiar figures in our high school. After graduating from Coughlin High School, she furthered her education by attending Pennsylvania State Ivniversity Where she received her B.A. degree. Her early days were quite hectic as illustrat- ed by the fact that she taught English, French, and Latin all in the same year. Currently her duties as Dean of XYUIHQII and Assistant Principal prevent her from teaching individual classes during the JAMES JONES .isszstarzi Principal lIr. James Jones holds the title of .Assistant Principal. 1Ir. Jones was born in Plymouth, Pennsylvania, but moved to our immediate vicinity when still a young boy and completed his high school studies at Dorranceton High School in 19222. In order to further his education he entered Bloomsburg State Teachers College and then Penn State from which he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education. In 19Q6 he became a member of the Kingston High School faculty. lIr. Jones has found time to be a leader in the workings of this com- munity. He has been invaluable to the Kingston Presbyterian Church where he serves as an elder, and to the Irem Temple. Next year Hr. Jones takes on additional administrative duties when he assumes the office of Principal of Kingston High School. school day, but she still maintains enough interest in teaching to in- struct college board classes in the evenings. WILLIABI IYESON Director of I'ICfli17Z'fl'6S lIr. William Iveson's early education was obtained in the Avilkes- ' '.'i'. I , i ,,a. , 41950-nm.. Barre public school system. At Bucknell University 1Ir. Iveson took his undergraduate major in the biology department although he re- ceived his BIaster's Degree in Administrations. After his graduation from Bucknell he began teaching at Kingston. Presently his official title is Business Controller. Although much of his time is consumed by his work, he finds time to channel his leisure into an assortment of interests. A model train builder, he spends many hours pursuing this hobby. Carpentry is also one of his pastimes. He passes many a pleasurable evening taking part in the workings of the Masonic Order of Kingston. 9
