MEMORIAL HISTORY Sept, , 1947 found us as freshxnan in K,H,S, An entirely new environment sur- rounded us and fascinated us, After becom- ing accustomed to the new programs and the tricks of the upper classmen, we began to become a part of K,H,S, Upon completion of our first year,we looked forward to fu- ture years, Resuming where we left off the preced- ing year we, as sophomores, were allowed to participate in the school activities, Many of the boys went into athleticsand the girls became members of the various clubs, As our second year ended, we were a much wisher group of young people. In our junior year, we started making money for our class trip, We presented our play Don't Take My Penny, After weeks of hard work, the actors put on a fine per- formance. In March, we started our cam- paign to sellmagazine subscriptions. Near the end of the year, we had our Junior Class Day. It was one full day of junior jollity. We had our chapel program and in the evening, we sponsored a dance. With these money-making ve-ntures to our credit, the year came to an end. With three years past and one more to go, our Senior year began. In November we presented our Senior play, Our Hearts were Young and Gay, to a capacity crowd. Practically the entire Senior class dis- played their talent in the annual Stardust Review, held in March. Once again we sold magazine subscriptions, thus adding a few more dollars to our growing bank account. Early on the morning of May 10th we left for three glorious days in Washington, On May 12th, we returned home for a much needed rest, With final exams over and graduation near at hand, we look over our school days, regretting that they must end so soon.
