AMERICO FIORUCCI Mr. Americo Fiorucci, a prominent member of the Kingsford High School teaching staff, was given the highest state award attributed to an instructor of the biology field. The selection committee of the National Association of Bi- ology Teachers has chosen him for the 1962 MICHIGAN OUTSTANDING HIGH SCHOOL BIOLOGY TEACHER AWARD This award is a tribute to the years of conscientious, dedicated teaching that Mr. Fiorucci has put forth to aid his students in both academic and extracurricular activities. In national competition Mr. Fiorucci ranked among the highest contenders. Biology - Chemistry Terese Langsford, President F. T.A. , presents Mr. Fiorucci with his certificate Advisor: F. T.A. 6 1 Life may be likened to your passage through a large room into which you enter and from which you leave without your consent. As you pass through you mingle with multitudes of people whom you must unclerstandg their problems of social adjustment, fsocial studiesj, of protection of their rights Claw and orderj, their objects CSciencej and places they live fgeographyj. Education is your travel guide which will benefit you to the extent you use it. It presents to you a challenge, and from its wise use, many rewards. Q KZZZWJ A. T. Allen, Superintendent Dear Students: k One of the rewards of being a teacher is seeing young minds develop. In our modern age it is im- perative that each of you develops to the best of his capability. The very foundation of our way of life. may rest on the shoulders of one of you. lwatch with pride as you grasp each new idea. I hope I will be just as proud of you in the future. , My sincere wish is that each of you has a happy and successful life. fi A - Albert Treado , Principal DEAN OF GIRLS Mrs. Bella Turk DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC PERSONNEL AND GUIDANCE Mr .
