In strangely quiet tones, tightened throats recalled our initiation and following banquet, the lively tunes and fun of our Girl Reserve and Hi-Y square dance, the frosty moonlight hike to Lake Antoine last fall, the Christmas party and goofy gifts, the rushing of rehearsals for our assembly, the oxish bowling party, how we swelled with pride over our moms at the Mother-Daughter tea, the house party with an elaborate spread of eats and fun but no sleep, Yes, and even the discussions and little spats we had among ourselves. It was our Varsity initiation, and a greater collection of merriment in one evening I've yet to find. We paraded the plebes, embarrassed them, and other- wise tormented them. Of course, we had a plentiful feed afterwards. It will be a long time before we will be able to forget the way Jimmy Riel looked as he marched through town or how nthe girls' enjoyed their duty as waitresses at Benso's. Modesty was not a part of their character, h, did I have fun How pleased I am to be a part of the carefree, genuine, atmosphere that hovers about the Varsity Club!
