Faculty Students of Kingsford High School: We are in a great war--a war to pre- serve the way of living to which we are accustomed under a democracy. We want this way of life so intensely that we are willing to give our lives for it--that others may have it if we make the supreme sacrifice. It is a way of life in which all are equal, in which we can thrive and prosper, in which we can be happy, in which we have the right of private enter- prise, in which we have free public edu- cation, and many other privileges denied to other peoples. You young people now in school are the ones who will perpetuate this way of life for the present and future generations. The task is a big one, one that will test the abilitits of the youth of today. You must take 'very precaution to see that you are pr pared both physically and men- tally to cope successfully with the prob- lems that the present world turmoil pro- duces and will leave in its wake. WisP1ng you God speed and success in your enleavor, I am Most sincerely, ' F. D. Davidson, Principal Social Science c.1:n'mUnE zuzums, a.A. Administration Board of Education To the Students: The American Way of Life with all that it embodies is the heritafe of American Youth. The recent economic depression and the present World conflict have both brought forth problems and changes which tend to threaten this heritage. Greater responsibilities are being placed upon our youth at an earlier age than ever before, thus making it necessary for him to intensify his training to meet these new demands. Therefore, it becomes the duty of every American Youth to acquaint himself with the traditions and ideals of his Country and to befit himself for the preservation of his heritaye. Best Wishes for your success. Sincerely yours, A-, F. C. Sweeney, Superintendent FRONT ROW: Thomas Homes, John Weber, Vital Payant, Frank Rumpf. BACK ROW: Attorney Ray Turner, Frank C.
