Homecoming 1976. . . The football team suffered a disappointing loss, 37-0. Homecoming 1976, October 4-8 was a different affair than usual. Class cars replaced class floats. Band members replaced football team members as escorts for the queen and her attendants. It proved to be the best Homecoming ever, with the exception of one thing. The football team lost to Snowflake by the score of 37-0. Student Council decided that float- building was too costly. Each class was allowed to enter five cars in the parade. Clubs were also invited to enter cars. Winning the car competition was FFA. Culminating the week-long activities was the crowning of Linda Mankowski as Homecoming Queen, 1976.
