Its highest mountain on which to climb, A promise for a richer, better day. To us this path has given New found power on land and air, Comfort for the weak and sick, A kind of life that's just and fair. In a world of bombs and rockets It gives a chance that will never cease, A chance to shake with him across the sea, A chance for love and peace. Give me your hungry and your aged. Yours who are poor and in distress; I will give them help and hope: I, the Path of Progress. The meaning of progress is one that cannot be summed up in a few words. But the annual staff has made progress its theme for the 1962 Hualapai to show what it can mean. We cannot thank any individual for the new and better life that progress has given us. The whole world is to be thanked for this progress along the path to happiness and success. DecUcatco t To a man of character and devotion Who, throughout the many years, Has taught us healthy notions And good sportsmanship ideas. To a man who is respected and admired For his work on the athletic field, A man who molds the leaders of tomorrow, A job well done his only yield, To a man who has helped many a class. And this year the class of '62, To realize our hopes and ambitions. In whatever we may do. For a man who gives his all. We have tried to make this book, We hope that it is worthy To be dedicated to Coach Cook. 7 z Ce FOREWORD ............................................................ 2 DEDICATION ............................................................ 3 ADMINISTRATION .......................................................... 5 Superintendent ..................................................... 6 Principal ..................................... -.................. 7 Board ............................................. —.............. 7 Faculty........................................................... 8 Secretaries and Nurse 12 Bus Drivers and Custodians...... ................................ 13 Student Government .............................................. 14 CLASSES 17 Seniors ........................................................ 35 Juniors......................-..................................... 44 Freshmen ......................................................... 61 ACADEMIC ...................................................-........... 62 Math ............................................................ 63 Science -..................— 64 Art................................................................ 67 Social Studies..................................................... 68 Commercial ...................................................... 69 Vocational ..................................................... 70 Physical Education ............................................... 71 ORGANIZATIONS ..............................................- 72 Bulldog Staff ......................................... -.....— 74 ftIaT-ZZZZZI........................................... —- si G.A.A............................................................ 82 Honor Society .................................................... 84 Boys' and Girls' State -........................................... 85 Salutatorian, Valedictorian ....................................... 86 Who's Who 87 Quill and Scroll .................-................................ 88 Cheerleaders 90 Pom Pons ........................................................ 92 Lettermen's Club ................................................ 93 ACTIVITIES ............................................................. 94 D.A.R............................................................ 95 Prom Queen .................................................... 96 Junior Play ............................................ -........ 97 Senior Play ....................................................... 98 Homecoming ............................................. -....... 100 Sweetheart Ball ................................................ 101 ATHLETICS ............................................................. 103 Football ........................................................ 104 Basketball .....................................................
