■ JACQUE HOOD Adviser . . . MR. JIM VANCE I FOREWORD A Salute . . . Mohave County, and all that it is— Business, Beauty, and Pleasure— Is the land where we live, the land that we love, A land full loaded with treasure. Treasures in business, pouring in wealth- industry, Ranching, and Mining- Give gold profit to some, show benefit to all, A starbright future designing. Treasures in beauty, bringing wide fame— Mountain, Canyon, and Lake- Through fishing and hunting, through movement and color, A tourist mecca do make. Treasures in pleasure, giving us joy— Remoteness, Desert, and Tree- Give the young recreation, the tired relaxation. In America, land of the free. God in his bounty, making this world— Eden, Congo, and Peak- Created this county, the land where we live, A land that is truly unique. In order that we all might remember and be proud of this land that we live in, the theme of the 1961 Hualapai is Mohave County. The annual staff ex- tends its thanks to all of the Mohave County residents, organizations, and ad- vertisers who, through their thoughtful cooperation, made this theme possible. - — —---tT DEDICATION To a man who has served for many a year As a friend and as a guide Who has taught us civic duty And also national pride. To a man who tries to help us When a problem is at hand And yet who wants to teach us On our own two feet to stand. To a man who gives his all, Much more than we can measure. To dedicate this annual To Mr. Wallace is a pleasure.
