.fig uaus ' Baseball Boosted By Returning Lettermen Quick reflexes and fast action are needed when playing a base, as shown by junior S t e v e Wilson Wally Gabler shows determination. Baseball mitts and bats became familiar objects to the energetic boys who went out for Kirnball's spring baseball program. Coached by Mr. Paul Temerian and Mr. Edward Campbell, the team worked for weeks developing the speed and accuracy necessary for the coordination of a good baseball team. Returning this year were such outstand- ing senior players as Wally Gabler, Russ Maynard, Dick Ries, Jerry Barich, and Bill Chilton. Junior lettermen Steve Wilson and Gary Weckerly also came back to the squad this season and promised not only to be an asset to the 1962 team but the 1963 team also. lst.
