Team members Doug Gerard, Bob Barnes, Randy Brunner, Tom Alpert, Frank Dawe, Larry Brown, Ken Fizette, Jim Oddo, Howard Richter, and Dave Mosher test the course for speed and condition. Captain Bob Barnes discusses team strategy with Coach Belknap. Harriers Win Two Mee s The Cross Country team, coached by Mr. Charles Belknap, in spite of hard work and con- stant practice had a 2 win, 6 loss, and 1 tie sea- son. They placed 6th in the Eastern Michigan League, with captain Bob Barnes qualifying for the All South Oakland County Team. The Harriers' wins included East Detroit, 17-42, and Port Huron, 23-35. The squad lost to Hazel Park, 29-275 Mt. Clemens, 39-20, Fern- dale, 39-173 Oak Park, 30-29, Birmingham Sea- holm, 43-163 and Dondero, 35-24. Covering the Cross Country course, Bill Sturly, Doug Gerard, and Tom Alpert work diligently to build up endurance.
