The Cowboy eleven witnessed a fairly successful season, end- ing third in the conference stand- ings . Faces were gloomy after the first game for due to inexperi- ence, Killdeer was defeated by Mott 21- 17 . The Cowboys proved that the first impression does not always hold true, for Abbey being the heavier team, was turned back by Killdeer by a margin of 18-13. Homecoming became joyous with a 33-0 victory over the Bel- field Bantams . The journey to Beach didn't hinder the Killdeer roster as they trampled the Buc's 28-0. After traveling to Hettinger and being defeated by a much favored team 21-13, the Cowboys won over an aggressive Bowman squad 26-6 in their last game of the season. '
