THE 193fi REFLECTOIE JUNIOR VALENTINE PARTY 'On the evening of February ninth, the Junior Class gave their first party in the student activity room, which was beautifully decorated in valen- tine colors. The weather was bad and it seemed the party would be a flop, but, lo! behold! a great crowd gathered all dressed in overalls and aprons, it seemed that these sophisticated juniors had turned once again to their childish pranks. Many games were played, the most interesting being automobile parts, it was player for quite a while. After tiring of games, the victrola was turned on, so we juniors danced the rest of the evening. The dancing was fine until some of our talented juniors decided they would get some of the Band's instruments and play. They were not appreciated however, for they were finally called down for the noise. We were then served with delicious sandwiches, hot chocolate, cookies and red hearts. Valentines were given as favors. Then at a late hour we departed, having enjoyed our first party immensely. Mrs. Mary Bumgarner, Mrs. W. H. Butler, Mrs. J. C. Ray, Mrs. P. E. Barton and Mrs. Mamie Rochelle were special guests. MCARMENAH Carmena, the two-act musical comedy, sponsored by the 1933-34 .Tun- ior class of Kilgore High School, was presented in the school auditorium March 2, at 8:00 P. M., under the direction of William Miller Devereux. The main characters were portrayed by Misses Christine Bagwell, Mildred Hardy, Helen Batte, and Messrs. Harold Cline, Roland Hebert, and Bryan A. Barton. A bevy of graceful and attractive high school boys and girls in gay gypsy costumes in brilliant colors added much to the effectiveness of the setting, a gypsy camp not far from a summer hotel. The proceeds were used to sponsor the Junior-Senior Banquet.
