THE 1934 REELECTGR CHRISTMAS KID PARTY The Seniors gave a Kid Party and to prove it was a success, lemme tell you! After the hair ribbons, long curls, short dresses, big bows and knee pants arrived, the fun started. Ring-around-the-rRoses was played by six of our football boys. This delighted all the children. The short dresses and knee pants made us all feel like we acted. tWho said the seniors couldn't lose their dignity every once in a whilel. Santa was kind to us. In the latter part of the evening he gave red peppermint candy sticks to everyone. From the Christmas tree he gave useful gifts that might be needed later--such as rattlers, dolls, pacifiers, doll buggies and dishes. To end a pleasant evening right for little children: after the eats, which were plentiful, Mr. Knight of the Knight Studio took a photograph of the entire group of kiddies. Yes, John Chemoke makes a very good Santa. Just the right size! VALENTINE PARTY Hearts? Yes, everyone had a heart the night of the party given in the Cafeteria by the Seniors. They were in evidence everywhere. Our king, Harlan Crawford, and Queen, Rubye Griffin, were crowned at 9, o'c-lock by Lois Goss, class president. They then presided over the ceremonies of the evening. Many games were enjoyed and later the king and queen gave away kisses icandy onesh. Underclassmen, attired in hearts, brought the eats: Saratoga chips, heart shaped sandwiches and cookies, and olives, which were put away in good form. A few were still suffering from the effects the next day. 'l'l1en everyone departed after expressing thanks to Miss Anglin, our hostess and sponsor, for a most enjoyable evening.
