Student Librarians Mrs. Flath heads a small army of students who assist her in the library. The minute they enter the library, they begin work by taking attendance and processing books. When necessary, they help with research or do household duties. Sometimes it befalls them to overlook a few people in the library. During the summer of 1967 several members of the Pan ther's Roar staff attended 2 journalism institute. T h e 5 brought back many fascinating ideas to the rest of the news paper staff. The stall made many im provements on the newspapel during the year. For the H1-si time, there were pictures in the paper. With the coaches as advisors, the Varsity K stands as a symbol of achievement in the field of sports. The general pur- pose of the club is to arouse more interest in and recognition for our athletes. The Varsity K has been very active in promoting interscholastic sports, including football, basketball, baseball, and track. The only qualification necessary to be eligible for this club is a letter earned in varsity basketball, varsity football, varsity track or varsity baseball. These boys are also eligible for varsity jackets. The Varsity K has sponsored such activities as dances after home basketball games and the sale of school sweatshirts, T-shirts, and pens.
