Weaver, C. Berlin. The sixty-one members of the F.B.L.A. represent a very active organization Keystone. The club itself has many worthwhile purposes, possibly the most portant of which is to develop competent business leadership. Members are couraged to develop character, prepare for useful citizenship, practice patri- ism, promote school loyalty and scholarship, and help to improve the home d community through cooperative ei-lort. Many projects of outstanding value to these prospective leaders are success- lly completed during the school term. These are aimed at improving the hool, business, and the community. These include processing letters for mail- for the Knox Lions Club and the Local March of Dimes, and setting up d duplicating letters, reports, programs, church yearbooks, and various other for civic and school organizations. They also duplicate and deliver the school Daily Bulletin and Absentee Report. In the Spring, the students in the F .B.L.A. Region II contests. A. is to encourage higher educa- tion. Of course, the club also likes to see many of its members become teachers. The F. T. A. also works to promote school spirit, encourage patriotism, and create good citizenship. The 60 members sell pom- poms and other articles to raise money, lead the sixth-grade orientation days, usher at vari- ous school events, and go cadet teachingv. During the summer of 1967 several members of the Pan ther's Roar staff attended 2 journalism institute. T h e 5 brought back many fascinating ideas to the rest of the news paper staff. The stall made many im provements on the newspapel during the year. For the H1-si time, there were pictures in the paper.
