LANGUAGE ARTS-FRONT ROW: Barb Dittman, Jane Hark- Saturday Seminar Enrichment seminars held at Clarion State College for academically able juniors and seniors began on January 6, 1968. Eleven high schools in the sur- rounding counties, participated in the program. Of the 120 students participat- ing, 40 of them were selected from Key- stone High School. The seminars were held for 12 weeks from 9:30 A.M. to 12:00 A.M. Seminars were held in the areas of social studies, mathematics, science, art, language arts, and psychol- less, Nancy Dean, Sherry Best. SECOND ROW: Marilyn Philips, Ogy- Suzanne Elder. H. S. holding one of its meetings. Mrs. Flath is the advisor of this group of 15 seniors. During the week before Christmas, parts of this group can be found stationed through- out the school. These students are play- ing post office. They become rnailmen and deliver Christmas cards. Slave Day was held in February of this year. N. H. S. members did small tasks throughout the school for minimal fees. In April of each year members can be found running about telling juniors and seniors of their selection for can- didacy in the N. H. A. is to encourage higher educa- tion. Of course, the club also likes to see many of its members become teachers. The F. T. A. also works to promote school spirit, encourage patriotism, and create good citizenship. The 60 members sell pom- poms and other articles to raise money, lead the sixth-grade orientation days, usher at vari- ous school events, and go cadet teachingv.
