Varsity Track Mr. Master, COACH Track is a tough sport, requiring self-discipline and hard work on the parts of the individual team mem- bers. Team work is, of course, im- portant, but track basically involves the individual. Every year about thirty sopho- mores, juniors, and seniors try out for track. Track meets start in the mid- dle of March and last until the end of May. About nine meets, including the county meet, are held every sea- son. The score in track is based on points for each activity. Each person participating in the meet gets one point for participation. Five points are given for obtaining first place, three are given for placing second, and one is given for placing third.
