Rhoads This year our Junior High football team experienced an undefeated season. Under the obviously able coaching of Mr. James Best and Mr. Larry Martin, and with only a couple weeks of practice, the team won all of its games. The Little Panthers started their remarkable season by defeating the Clarion Bobcats 21 to 6. Their confidence bolstered by this easy win, they defeated the Brookville Raiders on the home field by another 21 to 6 score. Next the Little Panthers traveled to Redbank to defeat the truly tough Bulldogs under the lights. Suddenly it became apparent to the whole school that the Ir. High team was really going great guns. Next the Little Panthers traveled to the stomping groundsi' of the Union Knights whom they defeated 7 to 0. Finally the tough Moniteau Warriors traveled to Keystone and were defeated amid mud, rain, lots of proud parents, and wildly cheering students. The junior High squad was the first undefeated football team in Keystone history. The Little Panthers were treated to a spaghetti dinner at the Carriage Inn after the final game. 62
