Mark Baker, Halfback Chip Huston Tackle John Fmefrock End THE VOICE OF A SENIOR PANTHER I'll always remember my one and only score after three tries. Imagine my surprise when the ball flew through the uprightsf' I'll never forget the kick-off at the Union game when I was in on the first tackle of the '67 football season? O The Moniteau game was a really heart-breaking experience. To lose by one point after such a tremendous effort was almost too much to takef' In the first play of the Brady game I threw a cross-body block and got kicked in the face. There I was, out for the rest of the game. I think Keystone's football is on the way up and in the next few years will be heard from. I just wish I could stay. I was sad when it was over, but Iill always be proud to call myself a Panther. I would like to say that I played with the greatest guys in the world. I'm sure I'll remember them long after I've forgotten individual plays and games. And, of course, thereis Coach Steele, he's the greatestf' On the night I was to be team captain, I lost my temper and was 'expelled' from the game dur- ing the second quarter. It had been my best game by far and I had really been doing well. This was something I had prayed for and when I was finally given my chance, I blew it. So what can you do, but go to it next timef, Tom Carey, Halfback Ted Ieannerat Tackle Herk Stuart End

Rhoads This year our Junior High football team experienced an undefeated season. Under the obviously able coaching of Mr. James Best and Mr. Larry Martin, and with only a couple weeks of practice, the team won all of its games. The Little Panthers started their remarkable season by defeating the Clarion Bobcats 21 to 6. Their confidence bolstered by this easy win, they defeated the Brookville Raiders on the home field by another 21 to 6 score. Next the Little Panthers traveled to Redbank to defeat the truly tough Bulldogs under the lights. Suddenly it became apparent to the whole school that the Ir. High team was really going great guns. Next the Little Panthers traveled to the stomping groundsi' of the Union Knights whom they defeated 7 to 0. Finally the tough Moniteau Warriors traveled to Keystone and were defeated amid mud, rain, lots of proud parents, and wildly cheering students. The junior High squad was the first undefeated football team in Keystone history. The Little Panthers were treated to a spaghetti dinner at the Carriage Inn after the final game. 62
