Spcrials ,4 Wards HONOR'S CHORUS DISTRICT CHORUS ROW ONE: Hope Henry, Bernice Whitehill, Gretchen Flath, Doris Jean Best, Joyce Over, Bruce Weaver, Jim Dollhopf LaDonna Linamen, Norma Humphrey. ROW TWO: Jim Dollhopf, Rick Bowser, Chip Huston, Bruce Weaver. NORMA JEAN-STATE BAND Norma Jean Humphrey represented Keystone High School at the Regional State Band Festival at Elizabeth-Forward High School in Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, on February 10, 11, and 12 of 1966. She won this position by placing first chair, second flute section, at the previous Dis- trict Band Festival at Slippery Rock. BERNICE'S TRIP TO WASHINGTON, D.C. Bernice Whitehill was chosen to repre- sent Keystone High School during the RURAL YOUTH TOUR from June 6-10, 1966. This was sponsored by rural elec- tric systems throughout the nation. The theme of this event, GOVERNMENT IN ACTION, was highlighted by a tour of the nation's capital, a speech by the President of the United States, and a banquet in the ballroom of the Marriot Hotel. GRETCHEN'S PROJECT, EXPERIMENTS WITH THE HUMAN BLOOD Gretchen Flath won the Grand Prize at the Northern Appalachian Regional Science Fair held at Keystone High School. Among the awards she received was a microscope, a set of World Book Encyclo- pedias, and the oppor- tunity to exhibit her science project at the International Science Fair in Dallas, Texas, May 11-15, 1966.
