'lihe pep asscinhly further liircd Boiler fans with the spirited cheering and hilarious skits depicting such typical scenes as u hcatnilt pep rally, a horror pcp rally complete with vampires and ghosts, and thc usual Crludas Proostj rilmhing ol' coaches and team. Following thc asscmhly tht- parade drcw many oohs and ahs from onlooltcrs as thc floats and hand wound tlicir way downtown. Climaxing the activities was the crowning of Queen Connie Maxwell at the football game which was fol- lowed by the annual dance. Sink the Pirates was the theme of the first place float entered by the Sophomore Class. The second place float constructed by the Sen- ior Class showed their spirit with the entry, Our K-night ln Shining Armor. Taking third place honors was the Junior Class float, An Udder Victory. Busy seniors, Joyce Thurwonger, Tom Blake, Tom Janlty, Pat Kir- man, Al Towne, Jim Eisenbarth, Carole Wilmarth, and Gary Ward put finishing touches on the senior class float.
