these things are merely sldellnes wlth Genevieve her real dutles he else where ln taklng care of grades checking attendance records and She probably has closer contact wlth the student bodv than any other faculty member and has shown unquestionable ablllty ln keeplng school llfe runnlng qulte smoothly The Engllsh department IS un der the dlrectlon of Mr Kaiser who teaches both English and publlc speaking He dlrects the class plays as well as the dra matlc parts for other school pro ductlons He IS a graduate of North Central College wlth B A de ree At present he IS dolnfr graduate work at the State Unl xerslty of Iowa Mlss Muller was again chosen advisor of the 1936 Kewanlte She has obtalned a B A degree at the State Unlverslty of Iowa and IS teachlng ln the English depart ment of the hlgh school She has handled both her teachlng and extra curricular work qulte cap ably Her splendld co operatlon vslth the Kevs anlte staff has helped to make the book a success Mlss Knapp was chosen as ad vlsor of the class of 1939 She IS one of the lnstructors ln the Eng llsh department She IS a graduate of Iowa Xvesleyan College where she obtalned a B A degree 1 SCHOOL FACULTY Mlss Ewan teachlng ln the Eng llsh and science departments the advlsor of the Dramatic club She has several clever ideas whlch she presents to the club When these are carrled out they prove to be qulte valuable MISS Ewan has obtamed a B A degree at Depauw Unlverslty and a M S at Iowa State College Mlss Horler, who has taught ln western Iowa for the past four years came to Kewanee to teach thls year She IS lnstructlng ln the English department and has establlshed a good standing for herself among students and fac ulty She has a B A degree from the Umverslty of Iowa havlng also attended the University of Colorado and Carthage College The class of 1936 chose Mlss McCarthy as their last class ad vlsor Because of her past experl ence ln thls work she has been a very efflclent gulde to the group An M A degree from Columbla from Mount Holyoke College are credlted to her She teaches ln the Engllsh and mathematlcs depart ments Mass Nobllmg who was the Junior class advlsor of the class of 1936 was agaln chosen Junlor class advlsor The success of the Junlor class of 1935 placed her ln the mlnds of all classes for an advisor She IS an lnstructor ln French havlng received a B A degree at Vanderbllt Unlverslty She also dld some work at the Unlverslty of WISCOHSIH last sum mel The Latln students of the school are under the lnstructlon of Mlss Harrod She has been teachlng thls subJect for several years and her efforts have encouraged a number of students to pursue further classical study Her classes are lnterestlng to the students She IS a graduate of Knox College The new subject of German ln troduced into the school ln 1934 has very successfully been carrled out these last two years under Mlss Beadles supervlslon She IS also an actlve teacher ln the hls tory department teachlng both ancient and modern hlstory She Obtalned her schoollng from the Unlverslty of ChlC8g0 Mr Graham has supervised the school paper agaln thls year Thls IS hls fourth year at Kewanee Hlgh and he has established for lumself a flne teachlng and soclal stand ard He teaches economlcs and speech He has shown dramatlc ablllty ln plays ln whlch he has partlclpated He IS credlted wlth a B A degree from University of Illlnols and graduate study at the same unlverslty Mr Brown, supervlsor of music ln the Kewanee publlc schools has only been Wlth us a year He vs a graduate of Illlnols Wesleyan Unl verslty wltha B M E degree H IS now worklng for hls masters degree whlch he hopes to Obtaln some tlme next fall Mr Brown IS a good frlend of the students and faculty and we WlSh hlm :uc cess ln the future Mlss Gibson the art teacher of Kewanee I-llgh heads the Art club Thls club has rapldly lncreased ltS membershlp slnce she has taken lt into her hands The splendid Nork ln her classes can be observed ln the art case on the second floor of the bulldlng She has also directed the art work for the Kewanlte las attended school at the Chlcago Academy of Flne Arts Art Instl tute of Chlcago and Bradley Poly technlcal Institute from where she has recelved a B S degree Comparatlvely few students VISI' Mlss Wesebaum's lnner sanctum lf they dld they mlght be sur prlsed at the amount of work done there Mlss Wesebaums dutles brlng her ln contact wlth the falrs of all the schools ln the l the school keeps the records for t e the are of Mr Bruners buslness corres pondence Students flnd her espe clallv helpful ln telllng them wh re to flnd step ladders electrlc light plugs and other odds and ends that they need Her work although carrled on quletlv and unobtrus lvely IS very valuable She does the accountlng for Board of Educatlon handles faculty s paychecks and takes Mlss Letha Larson has been the asslstant ln Mr Bruners offlce for the past two years She IS the young lady responslble for those contracts and prlnted tests for she takes care of the mlmeograph work It IS her task also to work ln the stock room arranging sup plles for all the schools ln town As a whole her tasks would num ber
