B The 1972-73 Miss Kettle Falls Pageant was held at 8:00 in May 1. The contestants were honored at a banquet where they were interviewed by the judges. Afterwards the ceremony was held at the high school. At this time each girl gave a short speech on Why I Want To Be Miss Kettle Falls. They also answered two important questions. Betty Mathews, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alden Mathews, was crowned as the new Miss Kettle Falls with Chris Cox, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Strobbe, as per princess. Mari McDaniels, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert McDaniels was awarded the Miss Congeliality Plaque.

Christy Matlock Julie Clinton Liz Adams Rod Haynes Mark Gribble Rod Brauner Bulldogs Win 46-43 in Overtime Game Saturday, January 6, the Homecoming game was held in the gym of Kettle Falls High School. That night the Bulldogs played Chewelah. At the end of the game, 3 minutes was needed for overtime. It was a close game, now with the score of 41-41. In the 3 minutes remaining, the Bulldogs scored 3 more points. The victory was ours with the final score of 46-43. Homecoming Dance Draws Crowd After the game, a dance was held in the Multipurpose Room, music played by Orphan Annie. At 11:30 the music stopped. Three girls with co-captains walked proudly out on the floor. They were Christy Matlock-- Rod Haynes, Julie Clinton--Mark Gribble, and Liz Adams-- Rod Brauner. Of the three, Liz Adams was chosen Homecom- ing Queen with Rod Brauner, co- captain. Her princesses were Julie Clinton and Christy Matlock.
