BACK ROW, Werner Sund, SBA represente arise' Lee Tillotson, president, Bill Bailey, viceepresident, FRONT ROW: Judy Nelson, sezretary Gail Hamilton, treasurer, Miss Vvfzdaell adviser, Sophomone Claaa The Sophomore class started out the year of T956 and T957 with 83 members which was a decrease from the preceding year, A bake sale was held in October as a money raising project for class expenses, The Sophomore candidate for yearbook queen was Kathy Hannigan. Sophomore citizens of the month were Ronald Hall, Diana Burrow, Earl Cooper, and Sylvia McClure. The Sophomore moniters at assemblies were Werner Sund, Earl Cooper, Sylvia McClure, and Sharon Baker. Four new varsity members from the sophomore class are Werner Sund, Bill Bailey, Clarence Henderson, and George Wilson. The Sophomore Hop was a success both financially and socially. The theme of the dance was 'Snowmans Holiday . A false ceiling was made of Crepe paper and decorated with balloons. Two false walls were made of pulp, and trees and boughs decorated the other two. Pat Selfridge and Marie Nergaard were nominated as Mr. and Miss Snowman. Earl Cooper was master-of-ceremonies and John Young played the part of Frosty, the Snowman. Miss Lolisa Waddell was presented a birth- day gift. Some of the Sophomore girls sang Frosty the Snowman i and George Wilson played the guitar. 38
