o Russian Glub The Russian Club was formed this year, and sponsored by Miss Schneider. This club consisted of any student in- terested in the Russian language. The club started the year by electing officers and plan- ning activities. These activities included a bake sale, a pickle sale, :md raising money to visit a Russian library in San Francisco. Io Be liberafed Robert Chan sees Easter Bunny at hockey game. Excalibur had an active year. This year's events start ed off with the annual selling of decals, and bumper stick- ers. Excalibur members enjoyed the snow trip, hockey game, and football game. They also included a trip to Harrah's Auto Show. They ended the year with the tradi- tional barbecue swim party., Exaclibur was not excluded from the trouble of Wom- en's Lib. Girls demanded to join, but even though they were persistent, they lost by a 20 to 4 vote taken by the Excalibur members. 13 '79 'U' 4 1 . If, if J Ak f 4, Z5 X411 it -L, by , Spanish Club The Spanish Club started the year with its traditional initiation, in which twenty-six new members joined the club. Various events in the initiation included a three-legged race, a dorito eating con- test, and the breaking of a piiata. The initiates enjoyed refreshments after all the excitement. The club planned to carry on the tra- dition that was started last year, of filming a movie of the activities of KUHS. A field trip, a bake sale, and many other profitable and interesting things were planned for the year by mem- bers and sponsor Senor Contreras. E1 Grupo
