Fourteen rolling rituals. The club continued the custom of quizing the initiates in Spanish While wearing a large sombrero. Interest for a taco stand for Homecoming, a faculty-student basketball game, and a homemade movie featuring the members, was expressed by the club and the M I K i S t new members were initiated by pudding-smearing and marshmellow- sponsor, Sr. Contreras. no In Try it! Forensics Student Forensics officers look over a schedule of events. Experienced speakers returned to aid novices and help the new Forensics coach, Mr. Goossen, run the class. Despite cold, foggy Weather, students traveled to Fresno high schools early Saturday mornings to participate in de- bate and individuals' tournaments. Karen Ciapessoni and Keith Wilcox again joined forces to form a Very strong Varsity debate team. Promising freshmen debators were Debbie Killian and Brian Lambrecht. Three Forensics Club members won honors in Impromp speaking. Carla Nielsen, Susan Kiseloi, and Karen Ciapessoni, were finalists in the Red Wood competition. The club planned to end the year with their annual Bass Lake trip. C.S. . Went To Frisco On March 16 and 17, a group of C. S. F. 'ers, along with Mr. Jim Seay and Miss Mary Bowen, went to San Francisco to tour the campus of Stanford University. Also the group of students were given time to look through San Francisco and to see what ever they wanted. Riding cable cars and climbing hilly roads were main attractions the kids observed.
