.F.B.L.A. Was n The Go The Future Business Leaders of America, under the leadership of President Sharon Lindsey, had a busy year. The club startedthe year off by having a bake sale and selling candles. In Jan- .uary, they toured Berven Rug Mill in Fresno and observed how carpet is sewn, dyed and cut. Later in the yeanseveral members attended the Winter Conference in Caruthers. Those who attended entered such contests as typing, spelling, short- hand, and bookkeeping. After the Winter Con- ference, some members attended the State Con- vention in Anaheim. There they observed parlia- mentary procedure and the Mr, and Miss FBLA pageant. The Future Teachers of America had a very unproductive year. The club planned several activities but were unable to organize them due to the lack of enthusiasm. At the last minute however, they sponsored a.Senior Teacher Day and a field trip to Fresno State College. Next year the club hopes to be- come more active and have more enthusiasm. Linda and Carl watch the rug fibers as they go toward the weaving machine. F .T.A.
