Rallies Brought pirit to Teams and tudent F RESHMEN February 4, Karen Williams brought the Freshman class into third place with a total of 278 points. The rally was based on a skit when Edith Ann told the crowd about her mother getting ready for the game against Tranquillity. Edith Ann Was played by Carmen Montes. The Freshman class had nymphs who helped the Cheerleaders, Pep Girls, and Twirlettes by collecting pennies that were thrown at them. They also sat in the crowd with several rally viewers. i SOPHOMORES Once again the Sophomore class took last place with 265 points. Their rally began with their mad Cheerleaders and uncoordinated Pep Girls trying to do their routines. Then along came Mack Lazarus, Joe Porto and car buyer, Charles Foster, who tried to buy a broken down miniature 19 72 Ford Mustang. The rally ended with a skit entitled Preparation For The Game , starring a weird creature 'composed of Jeff Glaves and Susan Pivovaroff. Kerman played against the Laton Mustangs that night.

Freshmen Had An The Freshman team, headed by Lyle Pedersen, had a fine season. Harry Bryden, the new freshman basketball coach, took the team to a 9-5 finish. The starting line-up was usually Lyle Pedersen, Rocky Couto, Steve Payne, Wesley Rodriquez, and Mike Tomasetti. This team showed some promising talent for the coming years. Wesley, surrounded by teammates, shoots for the basket. Q WU: !!37 I kg, LQ., J. FRONT ROW: Mario Garza, Glenn Alderson, Steve Payne, and Rick Alvarez. SECOND ROW: Ben Monreal, Tony Miranda, Ron Lemky, Rick Smith, Leslie Cottrell, Wesley Rodriquez, Jesse Alvarado, and Edward Perez. BACK ROW: Tim Samaria, Rocky Couto, Rick Teixeira, Lonnie Burrows, Lyle Pedersen, Larry Carlson, Robert Gruce, Mike Tomasetti, Howard Kubo and Coach Harry Bryden.
