Under the direction of coaches John Motta and Ron Kerman Adams, the J ,V. Football team had a trying season, Much of the frustration was due to the team being com- 0 posed of mostly inexperienced freshmen. 0 Putting in many long hours of practice the J.V.'S 0 worked toward gaining the much needed experience. 0 Looldng for a victory against McFarland, the J .V .'s 0 were disappointed with a 12-6 score in the final sec- 6 conds of the game, 0 Leo Cantu was voted as team captain and most val- 6 uable player by his teammates . The Kerman Lions defeated the champion Riverdale Cowboys everywhere except on the score- board which showed 6-8. All league players were Russ Hamilton and Mike Kister . Hon- orable mention went to George Helmuth, John Miller, and Bruno Lometti . Mike Kister was selected as best defensive player , Bruno Lometti was the best offensive player .
