Their goal was earning enough money for a scholarship. This was accomplished by showing the film A Day In The Life of a Kerman High School Student. CSF wasn't all work and no play though, as some club members enjoyed a trip to the University ofCa1il'ornia at Santa Barbara.

TFL Efyoyed cz IVQ Mr. Ken Boyd got a good chance to try out his new ideas on the students and their speeches this year. Tournaments were held at Central, McLane, Fresno High, and Clovis and the one at Roosevelt got their year off and running. Having car washes and a lot of pay-off activities gave the members the necessary money. The club planned a four day toumament at Manhatten Beach in March. Debates and individual events were involved in the tournament. Keith Wilcox and Mr. Boyd exchange ideas on speech writing.
