The Kerman AFS Club sponsors all of our foreign exchange students. The members are people who are interested in the American Field Service program. These people do much to help make this program successful. They work very hard in sponsor- ing programs and dinners in an effort to raise money. This is used to help bring a student to Kerman or to send one to a foreign country. This year our foreign student was Vilhjalmur Kjartansson from Iceland. He stayed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Knowles with American brothers Pablo and Carlo. Suzie Sebastian spent this past summer in Brazil. Jin Jin Soong from Malaysia visited Kerman during an Exchange Week.

wma Zu Since Drama Club was newly-formed this year, it started off slowly and empty-handed. Miss Brinkman, the sponsor, helped to get the club started. The money from club dues and a bake-sale helped to hnance the club. Their main goal was to have 3 one-act plays which would be performed for the public. With the help of Mr. Knapp, FTA planned many activities. Some of the ,members gained experience by tutoring after sch'ool.'This gave them a chance to get their feetiwet- in the field of teaching. Other activities enjoyed by the members were trips to the Annual Spring Open House at the University of Santa Cruz and Career Day at Fresno State College. V U C Filflembers orfee
