The year's cruise was filled with many activities for this class . . . But there was work also, their studies included general science, English, P.E., algebra, and electives . . . As a highlight of the month of January, they held a snow party at Fish Camp . . . The boys were very active in the 'C' team, track and baseball. The girls finished first in hockey, after playing all other girls' P.E. classes . . . Assemblies were put on by each class, this class was first to give an assembly . . . During the last of May they sponsored a dance . . . A swim- ming party in Fresno in June ended their first year in high school. Freshmen at Fish Camp during their snow trip. Freshmen. Owens, R. Solis, D. Funker. Publishing the Little Kub with Ronald Hayworth as editor was one of the many activities during the sail of the eighth grade .... Another activity was band, where they furthered their knowledge of music .... Then there was sewing, accomplished by the girls, so as to enable them to know more about different materials and the change of styles: also cooking, which taught them how to plan meals correctly .... Woodshop skill proved to be a great achieve- Tnent of the eighth grade boys .,.. John Castine sponsored a class reading club, through which members bought pocket- book editions of worthwhile books .... Of course neither boys nor girls neglected the three R's ....
