KENSINGTON IS. . . Home base for the more than two thousand students who daily explore the world around them, looking at the past, considering the present, and peering into the future. The telescopes, micro- scopes, and even the window panes through which we look have their platforms in Kensington. But Kensington is more than ideas, it is experiences. It is Security- in knowing where the Clinic is. It is Fear- of being crushed on the center stairs and not recuperating in time for class. It is Superstition- the dread of stepping on the Compass. It is Numbers- football scores and report cards. It is Excitement- a home run and the announcement of the high point winner on Girls, Letter Day. It is Rivalry- the irreverant cheering as the Bennett Spy is loaded into the coffin. It is Unity- the voluntary participation in club projects. Kensington is what every school is-an institution of learning, of developing character, of growing individuals, and a memory forever cherished by all those who pass within its walls. But we see it in a special light, for Kensington is what we make it.
