Our Deputy Superlntendent has led a very colorful llfe Pe was born on a farm ln Ohxo and recelved hxs elementary educatlon IH the llttle country school house After teachlng sxx years ln hlS home state he came to New York and taught flrst rn Rome then ln Schenectady came to Buffalo The call of educatlon however was not the reason for h1s commg here During the Flrst World War Mr Good was a paymaster In the Unlted States Navy It was ln th1s capacity that he was statloned ln Buffalo From then on he was a commerclal teacher at Hutchlnson Hlgh he was a conflrmed Buffalonlan For ten years School F01 many years he served on the com mlttee for the preparatlon of our examlnatlon papers ln both the elementary and the secondary schools From 1923 to 1948 Mr Good was a lecturer 1n Accounting and Buslness Education at Mlllard Flllmore College and the Unlversxty of HARRY I I OOD Deputy Supermtendent Buffalo In 1933 he was appo1nted to the Depart ment of Commerclal Educatlon ln the Board of Educatlon He served ln the post for four years and then became Assistant Superlntendent to Dr Bapst Mr Good holds the degrees of B C S from New York Unlversxty B S from the Um versxty of Buffalo and M A also from the Umverslty of Buffalo The educatlonal assocla tlons in whlch he has membershlp are New York State Teachers Association Associated Prlnclpals of New York State Councll of School Superm Teachers Assoclatlon of whlch he acted as Secretary from 1932 to 1938 and as Presldent ln 1939 and the National Educatlon Association In 1919 our genlal Deputy Superlntendent married a Buffalo glrl and together they raised two flne chlldren Mr Good enjoys traveling by automoblle and campmg Hls favorite spots for amplng are xn the Alleghenles and the Adlron dacks He also enJoys playxng golf Other sports whlch Mr Good takes pleasure 1n playlng are basketball and volleyball and he hkes to watch hockey .
