more girls now want to go to college, get jobs, and have careers, as well as get married, instead of wanting to get married as soon as they are out of high school. One problem is that jobs are getting hard to find. This is due to the general bad economic situation, but also, according to Tom Martin. Outside Work Experience Coordinator, partly because people who want jobs still don't have saleable skills- a problem which the Regional Occupational Program and departmental vocational classes like Fundamental Skills are trying to solve.
