SOCIAL STUDIES Students challenged to open-minded thinking Varying greatly from the traditional concepts of his- tory courses, the Social Studies curriculum con- sistently challenges students, placing emphasis on individual, independent thought. The student has a wide variety of topics to study, as he explores the problems and triumphs of modern society and their relationship to the past. The Social Studies program encourages the growth of free-thinking, open-minded leaders who understand man's role in shaping his world.
