ASS HISTORY In the fall of 19i+8, thirteen of the Seniors started on t eir des- tination toward this year. Linda Cargile, Maurice Brown, Billy Don Taylor, Faye McDaniel, Nellie Duke, Buddy ice, Bobty Aldridge, Charles Graham, Jev;el Moore, Joy Jones, Betty Cork, Mattie Ruth ‘ Owens, Carolyn Jones. Some of our highlights in our Elementary years, were the Kiddie Band in the first grade, May Day in the Second, and the Fair in the Third Grade. Betty Cork left us in the second grade and returned in the sixth. Joy Jones left in the sixth grace, but returned in the seventh. When we really thought we were grown-up, was when we reached the Seventh grade and started our journey through high school. In the ninth grade, we made our two day trip to Montgomery, and our trip to the Fair in Birmingham. In the tenth grade we went to Koundville for a day of sightseeing. It was during our eleventh year that Linda Cargile changed her name to Weathers. This was our year to have the Junior Play, Betty's Last Bet and the Junior-Senior Banquet with a Western theme. The most important event of our Junior year was our trip to Hew Orleans, Gulfport, and Mobile. At the end of our Junior year we ordered our class rings. On August 21+, 1959, we began our Senior year. Our first big moment as a Senior was the day we received our class rings. We didn't know what work was until we began work on our annual. Although it was a hard job, we enjoyed it. We know that the remaining, school year will be filled with many activities. During our twelve years of school we lost and gained many class- mates. The ones who are still with us are: Travis White, Ann Smith, Jimmy Caraway, Demas Hunnicutt, Faye Chesnut, Barbara Roberts, Jady Newman, Ronald Waldrop, Barbara Ann Gilpin, Eetty Jean Hamm, Charles Thorton, Bobby Trull, O'neal Hudson and Wallace Lenard, As we leave Kennedy High School, although we've had our ups and downs, we'll always treasure the memories we are leaving behind.
