COMMITTEES WORK day and night planning stu- dent activities. Student Council worked with the community on several projects. Along with Vietnam Mora- torium activities in Cedar Rapids, Council planned, in October, a Moratorium Day at Kennedy with speakers both for and against U.S. involvement in Vietnam. Council members also worked to get students to participate in the city's Walk For Development. Money from this thiny-mile-long walk went to poverty programs in South America and to poverty programs in Iowa. In November, Student Council members canvassed neighborhoods to try to get people to vote for a new city library. The library bond issue was defeated by only a small margin. YY' '75 !?.' .
