JCL: INSTILLED AN INTEREST The members of the Junior Classical League studied Roman culture by attending various meet- ings throughout the year. An initiation bringing in the new members and a presentation of the Muses composed the No- vember meeting. Traditional with the Christmas season, J.C.L. members celebrated the Roman holiday, the Sa- turnalia, by contributing money to CARE. The Toledo Museum was chosen for the annual J.C.L. trip this year. Those wishing to go went by bus Easter vacation. The J.C.L. members also had their annual ban- quet with the slave auction and games. Those at- tending this event dressed in togas, the dress of the Roman citizen, if they were sophomores; and tunics, the dress of the Roman slave, if they were freshmen. At the end of the banquet the slaves were freed. As can be seen, the Junior Classical League has enjoyed a very fruitful year. JCL OFFICERS AND SPONSOR: Miss Eminger, Sponsor; Bill Bently, President; Don Fylstra, Vice-President; Linda Nash, Treasurer; Diane Atz, Secretary. KENDALLVILLE FURNITURE CENTER
