ADMINISTRATION: It Formulates Our Curriculum To - ivkf- .exif The members of the School Board. Robert jack, Nils. Ruth Mary Friend, and Merritt XV. Diggins. along with Superintendent L. S. Brumbaugh strive to improve the school system. L, S. BRUINIBAUGH, retiring this year as Super- intendent of Schools, successfully brings to an end his career of 43 years in the field of educa- tion. Twenty-two years Mr. Brumbaugh served as principal of Kendallville High School and four- teen years as superintendent. Before coming to Kendallville, he had seven years teaching ex- perience. A native Hoosier, Mr. Brumbaugh received his A.B. degree from Indiana State Teachers Col- lege in 1917. after which he served overseas in XVorld XVar I for one and one-half years. Con- tinuing his education, he entered Columbia Uni- versity and received his M.A. degree in 1925, majoring in school administration. Besides being active in several civic organi- zations, Mr. Brumbaugh has been and still is active in many societies for school teachers and administrators both on state and national levels.
